Electronic voting machine has now replaced the traditional mechanism of voting due to several advantages like security, automatic counting etc. Electronic Voting Machine using , as the idea suggests today we will be working on developing EVM using micro-controller , we will. PREFACE We take an opportunity to present the project report on “Electronic Voting Machine Using Microcontroller” and put before users some useful.

Electronic Voting Machine Using Microcontroller (AT89C51)
This LCD based electronic voting machine is designed for four candidates. The input part consists of a set of six tactile switches. The provision of casting votes for the candidates has been provided through four of these switches. The remaining two switches both active low are to start and stop the voting procedure. The Init start switch initializes the voting system when pressed, while the Stop switch ends the voting and displays the poll results on LCD screen.
The data pins of the LCD pins are connected to the output port P2 of the microcontroller. The voting is started by pressing the Init switch after which the user is prompted to vote. The count of votes is stored in four different variables.
As soon as the user votes for a candidate by pressing one of the switches, the value of the corresponding variable is increased by one. The message stays on the screen until the next user either presses the Init button to cast another vote or Stop switch is pressed get the poll results.
Votign the stop button is pressed, the names of the candidates are displayed along with their vote counts. After some delay, the result is displayed which could be either declaration of the winner candidate or e,ectronic candidates with a clash of their number of votes.
Circuit Diagram Security is a prime concern in our day-today life. Everyone wants to be as much secure as possible. An access control for doors forms a vital link in a security chain. The microcontroller based digital lock for Doors is an access control system that allows only authorized persons to access a restricted area.
Microcontroller Based EVM-Electronic Voting Machine
An electronic lock or digital lock is a device which has an electronic control assembly attached to it. Microontroller are provided with an access control system. This system allows the user to unlock the device with a password.
The password is entered by making use of a keypad. The user can also set his password to ensure better protection. This article describes the making of an electronic code lock using the 16FA microcontroller. The system is fully controlled by the 8 bit microcontroller 16FA which has a 8Kbytes of ROM for elctronic program memory.

First, a quick history of RS It’s just a name for a standard that has propagated from generation to generation of computers. The first computers had serial ports that used RS, and even current computers have serial ports or at least USB ports that act like RS ports.
Back in the day, serial information needed to be passed from devices like printers, joysticks, scanners, etc to the computer. The simplest way to do this was to pass a series of 1s and 0s to the computer. Both the computer and the device agreed on a speed of information – ‘bits per second’.
As long as the computer output bits at the pre-determined speed, the printer could listen.
Zoom forward to today. Electronics have changed a bit. Before they were relatively high power, high ….
